Privacy policy
Short version. We store the minimum needed to run audits and billing. We never sell data. We never ask for or store your social media passwords or login sessions. You can ask for a copy or deletion of your data at any time by emailing hello@searchbind.com.
Who we are

What we collect and why
- Free audit: the URL you enter, the fetched public pages, the computed result, your IP address for rate limiting. Kept 30 days. Legal basis: legitimate interest in providing the tool.
- Free summary report: if you request it, the email address you give us, used to send that one report. [REVIEW WITH LAWYER: retention period and legal basis.]
- Account and billing: email, name, company name, plan, invoices. Payments are processed by Dodo Payments, our merchant of record; we never see card numbers. Kept for the duration of the account plus the legal retention period for invoices. Legal basis: contract and legal obligation.
- Website plan: your website's public pages and the audit results. Kept while your reports are accessible in your account, plus 90 days after you delete the account.
- Social profile and LinkedIn profile plans: the data export you upload (for example a LinkedIn archive) or data retrieved through an official API you authorize (for example Threads or YouTube). We process the posts to produce the audit and the 4-week post plan. Raw exports are deleted within 30 days of processing; derived scores are kept with your reports. Data is kept 90 days after the report is delivered; API tokens are encrypted and revoked when you disconnect, and at the latest 90 days after delivery. We do not store passwords or browser sessions.

Processors we use
Dodo Payments (checkout, invoicing and tax as merchant of record), our hosting provider [HOSTING PROVIDER, REGION], and the AI APIs we use to write explanations and content drafts [AI PROVIDERS]. Only your public pages and the facts needed for the report are sent to those APIs, never your account data. Our email provider is [EMAIL PROVIDER].
Cookies and analytics
The public website sets no cookies and loads no third-party analytics scripts. If we add privacy-friendly, cookie-free analytics later, this section will say which one. The application sets a session cookie after you log in.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, and object to processing. Email hello@searchbind.com. We answer within 30 days. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Transfers
Some processors are based in the United States. Transfers rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.
Changes
We will post changes here with a new date. Material changes are emailed to account holders.
